January 2012 Meeting / Auction

We had twenty one members present for our first meeting of 2012. If everyone had as good a time as

I did then it was a success! Here is a copy of the meeting Agenda updated to show the results.

1. Financial Report – Club members can call me for this info. 17 Members have paid 2012 dues.

15 have donated extra for the monthly magazine. We were short a few copies this month and I

have asked for o few more for the coming months.

2. Blue Suede Cruise – Hilton Garden Inn rates for this year are up a few dollars, Triple A,

AARP & other discounts are available if you ask for them. Cancellations are good until

6:00 pm on the reservation day. Rooms are going fast so get yours reserved soon. The phone

3. We will have a “Mystery Cruise” soon on a Saturday afternoon. We will meet at a parking lot

in Quitman where each driver will receive a “sealed” set of driving instructions to an undisclosed

location which will be 25 to 30 miles away. If you follow the directions correctly you will find that

destination. Pay careful attention during the trip as the correct answer to a specific question will

receive a gift that will make the trip worthwhile! Entry Fee will be $5.00 per car.

4. Blind Auction – This Auction netted the “Club Treasury” a little over $100.00 thanks to the

generosity of the bidders and the gift donations . The winners were:
